Greenbuild Awards 2013
The design and fit-out of new offices at 2 Waterhouse Square, delivered for Constituency Management Group (CMG), has been shortlisted for Greenbuild Awards 2013.
The project, located over 58,190 sq ft at 140 Holborn EC1N, has been shortlisted with one other project in the ‘Workplace Retrofit’ category and was delivered by Area Sq, Project Management company Cushman & Wakefield, and workplace environmental specialist Alphacello.
The project involved careful consideration to create a sustainable office environment at the historic Grade II listed Alfred Waterhouse Holborn Bars Office which includes a complex series of spaces that incorporates construction from the 1890s through to the 1990s.
Greenbuild Awards 2013 recognises excellence in sustainable buildings, with a particular focus on projects that can illustrate an understanding of the importance of building performance in use. The finalists and winners will be announced on 8th May at Manchester’s Grade II listed Midland Hotel during Greenbuild Expo 2013. The event will be hosted by Patrick Kielty.
In addition to this achievement, the office design and fit-out project has also been awarded RICS Ska Rating Gold – the highest Ska accolade for a sustainable fit-out.
